Démarche artistique

Mon travail est fortement inspiré par l’art asiatique, japonais en particulier.

Le travail des textures et les effets de flamme des cuissons au bois et au gaz me fascinent et caractérisent mes pièces utilitaires, comme mes œuvres sculpturales. Chaque défournement d'une maturation à haut feu est magique pour moi.

J’ai beaucoup de plaisir à imaginer que ceux qui vivent avec mes créations en retirent une joie quotidiennement renouvelée.

My work is strongly inspired by Asian art, especially traditional Japanese ceramic art.

The diversity of textures and the effects created by the flames in a wood or gas kiln fascinate me and characterize both my functional pieces and my sculptural work. Removing pieces from the kiln after a high fire maturation is always a magical moment for me.

I take pleasure imagining that those who live with my creations derive from them a renewed joy daily.
